P L O T

On a subway platform in New York City, an ex-con from the South saves the life of an intellectual atheist who wasn't looking for salvation. Now, the reformed murderer-turned-savior ventures to offer salvation of another kind, bringing the failed suicide victim back to his Harlem apartment for an articulate and moving debate about truth, fiction and belief. The story of a black subway worker (Samuel L. Jackson) who saves a white professor (Tommy Lee Jones) from the ripper's hands , after he attempted to off himself by jumping in front of the sunset limited…

This HBO film examines the relationship between strangers who are brought togheter by desperate circumstances , or maybe fate , and turn it into one of the best dialogs I've heard so far in a movie.

It's definitely worth watching , even though it dosen't have any action or incredibly complicated mindfuck , it does have some food for the brain , which is always my goal when selecting what to watch.
